For this assignment we took a photo that we could make an advertisement out of. I chose this photo, because I like music (especially violin) and it had a large area in the bottom left to add the second step. After we found our picture that we were going to use, we had to create an oval for the font and then use the feather feature to blur the edges to make it stand out. Since I used a violin, I decided to make it into an orchestral performance advertisement.
This was similar to the previous assignment, except instead of just taking a photo, and then inserting a feathered oval with text, we also had to insert and add other photos that pertained to the theme. I found a great photo of a cake, and decided to make a birthday invitation. Of course, no birthday is complete without balloons and party hats! Adding a bottom border was added to this tutorial, as well.
One of the later assignments we did pertained to vectors. We had to create a vector image as a border-type thing, and then use the type-on-a-path feature. There was a great gradiant that was preselected that reminded me of sunsets, and upon googling that, I found a great picture of a surfer/beach scene that fit perfectly. I thought that making it into a surf shop advertisement was appropriate.
